## What a Footer Holds

On August 7, 2026, I sat thinking about what this small file should say. The name itself, footer.md, feels almost humble. It does not promise glory or headlines. It simply offers to catch whatever falls at the close of things.

## The Weight We Leave Behind

We often treat endings as afterthoughts. Yet the best endings give shape to everything that came before. A well-made footer carries the weight of the entire site without drawing attention to itself. It holds the copyright, the year, sometimes a quiet link back to the beginning. It does its work without fanfare.
